Product Description
Solar Stroke is a solar-powered waste incinerator designed to manage waste sustainably. It processes 5 kg to 3 tons of waste daily, using advanced filtration to achieve near-zero emissions. Powered by solar energy, it reduces reliance on fossil fuels and operates even in remote areas. The system converts waste into valuable byproducts like carbon credits and industrial raw materials while cutting landfill dependency and pollution. Compact, eco-friendly, and scalable, Solar Stroke is ideal for households, industries, municipalities, and hospitals, offering a clean, cost-effective solution for decentralized waste management.
Problem Addressed
India generates 460,000 metric tons of waste daily, with only 20% being recycled. The rest ends up in landfills, roadside dumps, or open fires, causing pollution, health hazards, and economic losses. Current systems rely on transporting waste to distant landfills, which is costly, inefficient, and environmentally harmful. Solar Stroke addresses this by offering a decentralized, solar-powered incinerator that processes waste locally, eliminates transportation costs, and achieves near-zero emissions. This sustainable solution reduces landfill dependency, prevents open burning, and converts waste into valuable byproducts while promoting cleaner, healthier communities.
Product Application
Solar Stroke is a solar-powered waste incinerator designed for decentralized waste management. It can be used by **industries** to handle bulk waste, **municipalities** to reduce landfill dependency, **hospitals** for safe disposal of bio-medical waste, and **schools** or households for daily waste. Its compact design and near-zero emissions make it ideal for urban, rural, and remote areas. By processing waste locally, it eliminates transportation costs and pollution while converting waste into valuable byproducts like carbon credits and industrial raw materials. Solar Stroke promotes cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable communities.
End Users

The end users of Solar Stroke include: - Industries: Bulk waste generators like FMCG units and factories seeking sustainable and cost effective waste disposal solutions. - Municipal Bodies: Urban and rural local governments aiming to reduce landfill use and manage waste in decentralized manner. - Hospitals & Clinics: Healthcare facilities needing safe disposal of bio-medical waste. These users benefit from reduced costs, cleaner environments, and compliance with waste management regulations.

Achievements
The startup has developed a solar-powered waste incinerator that operates with near-zero emissions, achieving an impressive 98% pollutant removal efficiency—a significant step toward sustainable and clean waste disposal. Currently at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4, the team aims to reach TRL 6 within the next 18 months, marking steady progress in product development. A patent has been filed (Application No.: 202521003521), and the first working prototype has been successfully tested, as demonstrated in their video prototype. The innovation is under discussion for pilot deployment with early adopters, including Emami India (Odisha) and the Gwalior Municipal Corporation, indicating strong market interest. Notably, the startup was recognized as one of the top 7 finalists in the Swachhta Grand Challenge 2024, organized by the Ministry of Jal Shakti and Sanitation, New Delhi, further validating its impact in clean-tech and urban sanitation innovation.
